Event Details

We're super excited to finally announce the All Things Go Summer Series. Starting in May we'll be partnering with the Gibson Guitar's Washington DC Showroom and a slew of awesome record labels to bring you a series of unique, intimate live performances that you're going to love. It's going to be a laid back vibe with stripped-down sets from some of our favorite bands. We'll also have our favorite DJ/Producer in the world, Lightwaves, spinning between sets.
We're going to kick things off with one of New York's premier boutique labels, Cantora Records, on Friday, May 6th. The evening will feature sets from Cantora artists Bear Hands, Emil & Friends and Slam Donahue. We'll be having an open bar featuring Titos Vodka cocktails along with Flying Dog beers from 7PM-8PM. Delicious finger foods will be provided out on the patio by Eat & Smile Foods.
Capacity is limited so buy your tickets soon!
Event is Strictly 21+ // Cash Bar Only
BEAR HANDS:

Dylan Rau started Bear Hands to spite a romantic rival. In
disconnecting himself from the love triangle (and successfully
copulating with several other humans) he was able to write about 70 new
and exciting songs. Joining forces with fellow Wesleyan university
alumnus Ted Feldman and iconoclast punk veterans Val Loper and TJ
Orscher the band started to stomp live. Both other bands and people in
the crowd were stomped regularly and definitively.
Touring became a new way of life for Bear Hands after the 2007 release of their Golden EP. The band opened for MGMT, Vampire Weekend, The XX, Les Savy Fav and spent time on roads all over North America and Europe with now-dear friends Passion Pit, Obits, We Were Promised Jet Packs, Hockey, Manic Street Preachers, and Mayer Hawthorne and The County.
Following the success of their most-recent single "What A Drag"
(Too Pure (UK) // Cantora US) Bear Hands delighted weekend warrior
crowds at such iconic festivals as Reading, Leeds, Siren, Rockness, and
Forecastle. They did shows in Brazil with fellow Brooklynites Chairlift
and Telepathe, narrowly escaping with their lives and intestinal
parasites.
And now things are really starting to get heavy for Bear Hands. Their
debut LP, Burning Bush Supper Club, took over a year to finish, slowed
to a crawl by mental illness, intraband resentment, and a generally
pervasive sense of indecision. Produced before the watchful eyes of
frenemies and industry fat cats alike, Burning Bush Supper Club sees
Bear Hands reach unprecedented levels of both truth and relevance. The
songs are beautiful and new and the band has taken the necessary
logistical steps to bring the product to market.
EMIL & FRIENDS:

Somewhere inside the glowing rectangles, Emil found album worthy
tinkerings of nylon strings, waterfalls of voices, flutterings of bells
whistles and synths. So goes descriptions of danceable weirdpop act Emil
& Friends. As a boy Emil would show up to guitar lessons with a
produced track on a cd, with no guitar. Heads were scratched. Emil would
show up to a dj gig with only a guitar. Brows were lifted. Years
passed. Attics were changed into bass drum batcaves...
The solace found in multitrack recording allowed Dr. Young guns to
forget about the headaches of premature live shows and concentrate on
creating a foundation for a sound to you we now present. Inspired by the
hunt for lost relatives, cures for heart conditions, obsessive letter
writing, snacks, and hot trax; created from start to finish on his own,
his ep and upcoming albums, along with a slew of covers and remixes,
will leave the enemy waving white flags, and shall soon be yours for the
taking.
SLAM DONAHUE:

Slam Donahue are a pop band based out of Brooklyn, NY. The members are
David Otto, Thomas Sommerville, and Keenan Mitchell. They released
dozens of home demos to their friends’ hard drives before the upcoming
“Where Were We On The Weekend” single on Beggars Group’s Too Pure
Singles Club.
